Unless you're well out of the intended audience for this book, for instance, you're probably not aware of the reading process per se. You're not looking at each character, doing optical character recognition (OCR), sounding out the words, then figuring out what they mean. I hope not, anyway! You look at the page and just know the words and what they mean without thinking about that part of the process. The rest of your mental abilities can now be used for thinking about the content (or daydreaming) instead.
Well, the first version I wrote might have been legally actionable, for starters, and I have better ways to be famous than being the target of a lawsuit. I also figure that a simple statement of fact may actually carry more weight than what appears to be a rant. I just have one request of Microsoft: Why not just tell the truth, stop witholding information, and simply publish the known bug list if you can't or won't fix the bugs?

Selected Papers in Digital Signal Processing II IEEE editorial board, IEEE Press ISBN 0-87942-059-6(cloth) or 0-87942-060-X (paper) Edition 2 branches into 2d signal processing and covers "new" advances in 1-D stuff, again with brutal mathematical rigor. More papers by the innovators in DSP.
